KUALA LUMPUR: A video clip of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V opening up a bottle of water to drink, halfway through his opening speech at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, has gone viral online.
In the clip, the King was speaking on the need for the people to take care of their health and live a healthy lifestyle, when his voice appeared to waver slightly.
He is then seen reaching out for his bottle of water and, with a smile on his face, twisted the cap, and said into the microphone, "Kejap... minum air kejap" (Please hold on. I need to drink water).
Parliamentarians in the august house smiled and nodded their heads as the King exclaimed "aaahh..." after drinking the water.
The first meeting of the fifth term of the 13th Parliament session, will run for 20 days until April 6.
