The Grand Finals last night was contested by nine acts including six voted through by viewers and three joint ‘golden buzzer’ decisions by judges — David Foster, Melanie C., Anggun and Van Ness Wu — which fast-tracked these acts directly into the Grand Final.
Last night’s performers were Thailand’s rock band The Talento, who brought the judges and live audience to their feet with their powerful rendition of rock classic The Final Countdown.

Chinese acrobatic dance couple Gao Lin and Liu Xin also took to the stage, and Gao surprised everyone including Liu when he proposed Liu in front of live audience. Liu accepted his proposal.

Eleven-year old, budding Filipino songstress Gwyneth Dorado was next with a soulful and powerful rendition of David Guetta’sTitanium.

Singapore’s hopes in the show followed as the 11-strong Dance Trilogy took to stage in a Broadway-style tap dance performance, dancing to the track We’re in the Money, from musical 42nd Street.

Mongolian ‘throat singers’ Khusugstun then brought audiences on another spellbinding and ethereal journey to their homeland, combining unique vocals, traditional instruments and stunning visuals of Mongolia.

The next act saw Japan-based dance act Triqstar who demonsated their incredible dance skills to deliver a very understated yet demanding routine including flips from trampolines that was seemingly effortlessly.

Filipino ‘shadow play’ dance group El Gamma Penumbra amazed everyone with their piece that conveyed the importance of conserving Mother Nature.

While fellow Filipino Gerphil Geraldine Flores flawlessly sang The Impossible Dream of the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha.

The night concluded on an electric high as nine-man Filipino group Junior New System rocked the crowd with their acrobatic, American football-themed dance routine.
