PETALING JAYA: Police gatecrashed a “wild” party at a shopping centre, detaining 51 people including six teenagers.
Investigations revealed that the penthouse at level 44 of Berjaya Times Square has been rented since four months ago to hold private parties.
Dang Wangi police chief Asst Comm Zainol Samah said those detained on Saturday were aged between 16 and 35.
They were nabbed between 12.30am and 4am during an anti-narcotic operation.
“Among the six 16-year-olds, four of them are girls.
"We found ecstasy, amphetamine and methamphetamine in the premise. We have also identified the pusher among them.
“So far, seven were arrested for alleged possession of drugs while 20 tested positive,” he said, adding that the 23-year-old organiser had also been arrested.
ACP Zainol said invitations to the party were sent out via WeChat.
"Participants needed to pay RM20 each," he said, adding that a month-long surveillance was done before police moved in.
The case is being investigated under various sections of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
