LABUAN: Social media users, especially those on Facebook, are advised to be cautious
when buying cookies or biscuits in a container through a Facebook group.
Labuan police chief Superintendent Adzhar Othman disclosed yesterday that a a 20-year
-old local man had been detained for consuming an appealing brand of ‘chocolate biscuits’
that had been laced with marijuana.
“The suspect, who has an active Facebook account, was detained on May 17 at 2.56pm
under Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 after he tested positive for drug
abuse. Our investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of a Facebook group which
is actively selling the biscuits.
“He reportedly made two orders for the biscuits for a total price of RM120 in two containers
via an online transaction,” he said, adding that the biscuits would be sent to the Chemistry
Department for analysis.
Meanwhile, Adzhar advised the youths here, especially teenagers, not to let themselves be
easily influenced by advertisements in the social media promoting the sale of prohibited
items such as drugs in the shape of biscuits.
He also hoped that parents would proactively monitor their children’s whereabouts and
activities all the time.

Bestfbkl - Be careful when buying cookies online as i too have heard that some have put
ganja in their cookies and cakes so that people get hooked to their product and will order
again. Buy from vendors you trust and know.
