Alexis BistroAn oldie but goodie. Alexis has been around for a while and its reputation as one of KL’s top cafes is well-earned. We like their food menu, breezy vibes and jazz nights but above all, we dig their desserts, those impressive confections that stop us at first sight.

Just Heavenly CaféOpened some time last year, this BSC outpost of the Just Heavenly family is fast winning over followers for its quaint setup, eye-catching counters laden with cakes and service with a smile. Oh, and its red velvet cake. We like its soft, moist texture and the sweetness, which is just right and not cloying. Just Heavenly also offers a solid selection of cup cakes, cheese cakes and cookies. Prices start from RM9.90 for a slice and RM7.40 for a cupcake.

Les Deux GarconsWhen it comes to delectable French pastries and bijoux coloured macaroons, the go-to place in KL has to be Les Deux Garcons. Opened in 2011 by the same folks behind the tres charming Café Café, this patisserie has gained a loyal following for its delicious baked goods.

Dip N DipFor all the chocolate lovers out there, this one is for you. It’s all about the cacao at this casual café, what with chocolate fountain and all.
