80,000 objection letters submitted on DBKL property valuation rate
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 80,000 letters of objection on the DBKL property valuation rate had been submitted as of Monday with the deadline for objections ending on Tuesday.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said he felt the number of objections received was not substantial when compared to the 500,000 properties that were located in the city.
"Today midnight is the deadline for all property owners to submit their objection letters.
"So far all the objection letters seem to have a similar complaint and reasons for their objections," he said after launching the Park 'N Ride facility near the Bandar Tasik Selatan Terminal Bersepadu (TBS) on Tuesday.
The facility, which costs RM19mil, is a four storey parking area with 818 parking bays, which has also been fitted with CCTV for added security.
The facility has been fitted with a covered elevated walkway for users to easily access the KTM Komuter station as well as the TBS.
The facility is expected to make it easier for people to travel to various parts of the Klang Valley and across the country using the train services, city bus or the express buses.
Tengku Adnan added that he expects more Park 'N Ride facilities with a total of 10,000 parking bays will be built by 2020 at various locations including Klang, Rawang, Nilai and Salak Tinggi as part of the plans lined out in the National Key Response Area (NKRA).
