8 injured as express bus overturns
KEMAMAN: An express bus overturned at KM140.8 of the Kuala Terengganu - Kuantan Road here at 3am today, injuring 8 people onboard.
All of them were sent to the district hospital here for outpatient treatment.
District police chief Assistant commissioner Che suza che Hitam said there were a total of 28 passengers on the bus travelling from Kota Baru to Johor Baru.
"Initial investigations found that the driver tried to avoid from ramming into a pig, which he said was crossing the road.
"He steered to the left and rammed into the road divider before the bus overturned at a small ravine at the side of the road," he said.
