The former Menteri Besar of Perlis Azlan Man is expected to be charged tomorrow for making false claims totalling RM1 million

KANGAR: The former Menteri Besar of Perlis Azlan Man is expected to be charged by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at the Sessions Court, Kangar, tomorrow.
Azlan would be slapped with five charges for making false claims totalling RM1 million between 2013 and 2017.
Azlan would likely be charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 for filing false claims.
Based on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) note sent to the media, the MACC has received permission to prosecute the 65-year-old former Menteri Besar.
The politician is expected to be brought to the Kangar Sessions Court, Perlis at 8.30 am, 10 April 2023.
