SINGAPORE, Oct 13 —Singapore, which recorded four new COVID-19 cases yesterday, reported another death due to the coronavirus, taking the cumulative number of fatalities to 28.

In its full data released late last night, the republic’s Ministry of Health (MOH), said the latest fatality involved a 64 year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident who died at Singapore General Hospital.

Identified as Case No 57,960, the ministry said he had been working in India since December 2019, and was placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) when he returned to Singapore on Sept 23, 2020.

He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on Oct 4 and had a history of hypertension, said the ministry.

Singapore last reported its death case due to COVID-19 on July 14, while its first two deaths was reported on March 21.

As at noon yesterday, 57,728 COVID-19 cases have fully recovered from the infection and discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

Singapore's infection tally currently stood at 57,880.
