Four men detained over fight in Pudu

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 -- Four men, including two Myanmar nationals, were detained after they were believed to have been involved in a fight in front of a restaurant in Jalan Landak, Pudu, early Tuesday morning.
Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said the suspects, aged between 23 and 44 were picked up around the city based on information and intelligence gathered.
He said before this, police have identified two Myanmar nationals, aged between 30 and 40, who were the victims beaten in the brawl.
“The initial investigation revealed that the fight started after one of the victims had attempted to steal a mobile phone from one of the attackers.
“Further investigations are ongoing under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing hurt with a weapon,” he said in a statement here today.
A 51-second video which had earlier went viral on social media showed a group of men beating a man using helmets at about 3.11 am today.
The video also showed the victim being dragged by his hair while being beaten and kicked repeatedly.
