DAP today announced its Kuala Lumpur candidates for the coming polls, with long-time Kepong MP Tan Seng Giaw notably absent in the line-up.
Secretary-general Lim Guan Eng made the announcement at DAP’s national 14th general election briefing.

Hannah Yeoh will be contesting the Segambut parliamentary seat during GE14.
PETALING JAYA: DAP stalwart Hannah Yeoh, who is Subang Jaya state assemblyman, will be contesting the Segambut parliamentary seat during GE14.
The Selangor Speaker will be replacing current Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng, who has served the constituency, for two terms. However, Yeoh did not announce whether she will be defending her Subang Jaya state seat.
Meanwhile, Lim will be fielded in Kepong, replacing eight-term Kepong MP Dr Tan Seng Giaw.
When contacted, Dr Tan said he accepted the party decision.
“Politics demand changes and fluctuations, it is up to the party headquarters on what they want to do,” he told The Star.
Incumbents Teresa Kok, Tan Kok Wai and Fong Kui Lun will continue to defend their respective parliamentary seats in Seputeh, Cheras and Bukit Bintang.
Kok is currently in her fourth term as Seputeh MP, Tan in his fifth term as Cheras MP, while Fong is three-term Bukit Bintang MP.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng announced its candidates for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (KL) during a special election briefing for party members at the Petaling Jaya Civic Hall here on Monday night (April 9).
DAP will contest in five out of eight Opposition-held seats in KL.
