Bank Negara appoints two new AGs

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara has appointed two new assistant governors, Nazrul Hisyam Mohd Noh and Tan Nyat Chuan, with effect from May 1.
As assistant governor, Nazrul Hisyam will act as the chief of staff and the secretary to Bank Negara board of directors, the central bank said in a statement today.
He will be responsible for the Governor’s office, strategic communications and strategic management departments.
Prior to his appointment as chief of staff in 2016, Nazrul Hisyam served the bank for almost 20 years in several capacities, most recently as the director of the international department.

He will also serve in several capacities director of Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and a member of the Bank Negara’s financial stability committee and risk management committee.Tan has more than 30 years of work experience in Bank Negara.
