Tan Yew Kew accepted as Wangsa Maju candidate

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR Treasurer General Datin Paduka Dr Tan Yee Kew has been accepted as a candidate for Wangsa Maju Parliamentary seat after a tense situation when her IC was left at her home in Subang Jaya.
A man wearing a PKR uniform from Tan's camp who came at the last minute before 10am to contest as an independent candidate in case Tan's nomination was rejected, also withdrew his nomination.
He withdrew his nomination when he was told that Tan's nomination was accepted by the Returning Officer Sulaiman Mohamad.
Barisan Candidate Datuk Seri Yew Teong Look and PAS candidate Razali Tumirin had filed an objection to the Election Comission and the RO had accepted it.
During the official announcement, Tan, Yew and Razali were named as the candidates.
