Cleaning lady stabbed in the chest by son

KUALA LUMPUR: A cleaning lady was stabbed in the chest by her son for trying to get him to take his medication.
The 33-year-old suspect suffers from mental health issues and had been off medication for at least three days prior to the attack.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Shaharuddin Abdullah said the incident occurred at around 7.45am on Sunday (March 18).
"We received a call that the woman had been stabbed at her home at Jalan Batu Bata, off Jalan Tun Razak," he said.
"The suspect remained in the house and was behaving aggressively," said ACP Shaharuddin when contacted Monday.
He added that when police tried to apprehend the suspect, he charged at the police with a knife.
"We fired a taser at the suspect and managed to subdue him.
"The suspect also had a stab wound, believed to be self inflicted," he said, adding that both suspect and victim were receiving treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
ACP Shaharuddin said checks revealed the suspect was receiving treatment for mental health issues.
"Our investigations revealed that the suspect had been off his medication for at least three days.
"He attacked his 52-year-old mother after she tried to get him to take his medication," he said, adding that police seized a knife from the scene.
He said both the victim and suspect were in stable condition.
