KUALA LUMPUR: A man suspected of drug use got himself into deeper trouble when he tried to bribe a policeman not to take his urine sample.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said the incident had occurred during an anti-vice raid at a karaoke lounge in Taman Shamelin Perkasa on Tuesday (Jan 30) night.
He said the man had offered one of the officers involved in the raid around RM1,100 in order not to take his urine sample, and to instead use tap water.
"The officer refused the bribe and warned the suspect three times. However he ignored the warnings. A police report on the matter has been made and the complainant has contacted the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for further action to be taken against the suspect.
Nineteen people, aged between 18 and 50 years, tested positive for methamphetamine during the raid
