Three men pull off RM370,000 jewellery heist in two minute



KAJANG: Three men wearing full-face helmets took only two minutes to carry out a robbery and escape with RM370,000 worth of jewellery from a goldsmith's shop in Taman Bangi Avenue on Thursday morning.

In the 11.22am incident, the three robbers used hammers to break open jewellery cases in the shop.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said a female worker was on duty at the time.

"The robbers escaped with three trays filled with gold jewellery worth RM370,000. The perpetrators escaped on two motorcycles," he said, adding that the case had been classified under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.

In a similar robbery in Cheras on Sunday (Dec 31), robbers stole jewellery worth RM1.5mil, also from a goldsmith's shop.
