MELAKA, Jan 25 ― A labourer was electrocuted while charging his mobile phone at a friend's house in Felda Bukit Senggeh, Jasin yesterday.
The body of Rosli Othman, 35, was found next to the mobile phone, charger and extension wire about 11.30pm.
The victim’s friend alerted the police.
The body was sent to the Jasin Hospital, Jasin police chief DSP Arshad Abu told Bernama here tonight.
He said the case was classified as sudden death.
In Kota Kinabalu, a 53-year-old man was electrocuted at his workplace in Jalan Langkawit, Kampung Benoni Papar, near here at about 2pm yesterday.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department in a statement said the victim Madius Kandurug, 53, was electrocuted while he was trying to pluck some mangoes from a mango tree in the compound of his workplace. ― Bernama
