PETALING JAYA, Jan 23 — Police have arrested three suspects in connection to a case of a technician who was attacked by a mob along the Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) highway last week.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the trio were arrested last night and have been remanded until this Friday.

In last Friday’s incident, the 39-year-old victim was set upon by an angry mob following an accident involving his car and a motorcycle.

The technician collided with the motorcyclist along Jalan Batu 13 at around 7pm, causing the rider to suffer multiple injuries.

“The rider has yet to come and lodge a report as he is still receiving treatment for his cracked ribs and head injuries at Hospital Serdang,” said Mohammad Azlin.

Following the accident, the victim was attacked by the mob and ended up losing his personal belongings and documents during the melee.

Mohammad Azlin had said the victim was supposedly hit with several objects, including helmets, resulting in him having to seek outpatient treatment at Hospital Serdang.

Police had also scrutinised a video of the supposed incident, which led to the arrest of the suspects.

Police say they are now looking for three witnesses to assist investigations into the matter.

“We want these witnesses to come forward and relate to us the incidents as it took place, as we look to wrap up investigations,” Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari
