Security guard: Dog never barks at anyone else except alleged attacker

PETALING JAYA: The security guard who was on duty when a man allegedly beat up a dog stationed at the guardhouse says the animal is very well-behaved and has never barked at anyone else except its attacker.

D. Mariayee, who was manning the guardhouse in Taman Melody, Puchong, found herself caught in the middle of the brutal attack that happened on April 2, and at one point was even physically shoved away by the man.
"He looked very fierce," Mariayee told The Star TV on Friday.
"When he comes by, the dog will bark," she said.
However, she said that the dog was usually well-behaved and never went after anyone else.
"The dog is a very good dog," she said.
"Many people pass by. Not one person did the dog bite," she said.
On Friday, Yee apologised for his actions, saying that he just "snapped" after being attacked by the dog six times in the past and even lost his engagement ring during the last attack.
Mariayee, however, questioned why no police report or complaint was ever lodged after so many attacks.
At 8.45pm on Sunday, Yee flew into a rage and violently beat up the dog after falling off his bike when it broke free of its leash and ran towards him.
The incident was captured in a CCTV recording that has since gone viral on social media, drawing the ire of netizens.
