KUANTAN: Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar, the Special Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister, heads the list of 218 recipients of state awards and medals conferred in conjunction with Pahang Ruler Sultan Ahmad Shah's birthday.
Wan Ahmad is among the 11 recipients of the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri.
Among the other recipients of the SSAP award are Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Datuk Dr Adham Baba, Mara director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Tasik Chini Research Centre Professor Datuk Dr Mushrifah Idris, Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad managing director Datuk Wan Zakariah Wan Muda, Advocate and Solicitor Datuk Noorhuda Alias and Bharat Group managing director Datuk Kesav Kumar Agarwal.
Five people received the Darjah Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award which carries the title Datuk, namely Puan Sri Salwany Mohamaed Zamri, who is the wife of Court of Appeal President Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif; Puan Sri Rohani Mohamed Kassim, who is the wife of Chief Judge of Malaya Justice Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin; Pahang State Development officer Datuk Zulkifli Yaacob; Bharat Group managing director Datuk A Vinod Kumar Agarwal and Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd deputy chief executive officer Datuk Tan Hui Jing.
Meanwhile, the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) award, which also carries the title Datuk, is bestowed upon 15 individuals, including Lebanon Ambassador to Malaysia Ali Daher; Puan Sri Kalsom Ismail, who is the wife of late Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis; National Registration Department director-general Mohd Yazid Ramli; Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Legal and Prosecution Division director Masri Mohd Daud; Malaysian Consul-General to Jeddah Mohammad Ali Selamat; and Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital head of medical department Dr Mohd Ramli Seman.
Seventy-nine people received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award, which also carries the title Datuk.
Among them are Deputy Home Minister II Masir Kujat, Asia Pacific Forum On Families (Apfam) executive secretary Tengku Raihanah Tengku Ismail, Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department director-general Mokhtarud-din Husain, and Fisheries Department deputy director-general (Management) Munir Mohd Nawi.
Other recipients of the DIMP award are MACC Community Education Division director Abdul Samat Kasah, Felcra Berhad Regional General Manager Abdul Mutalib Tais, the Health Minister's press secretary K. Sivakumar, Election Commission deputy secretary Juhari Abd Rahman and the Regent of Pahang's special aide Abd Rahman Endut. Also receiving the award are Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) communications and eco-digital system sector chief officer Mohd Ali Hanafiah Mohd Yunus, Amanah Saham Pahang Berhad deputy general manager Mohamed Mustafar Malik and Pahang ECERDC general manager Mohd Mazlan Sharudin.
The Sultan also conferred the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) award to 13 recipients, the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) award to 25 recipients, the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) award to six recipients and the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) award to 29 recipients.
Nine other individuals received the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC) medal, the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) medal (seven) and the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) medal (19). - Bernama
