National Security Council Classified Final Audit Report on 1MDB under the Official Secrets Act (OSA)

KUALA LUMPUR: The final audit report on 1Malaysia Development Bhd has been classified under the Official Secrets Act (OSA), said Public Accounts Committee member Tony Pua.

Pua told reporters, who were barred from the PAC hearing on 1MDB on Friday, outside Parliament House that the report was classified as official secret by the National Security Council (NSC).

He was asked if the classification of the report was made PAC or the Attorney-General's Chamber.

Pua said the A-G had submitted the report to the NSC which did the classification. The report was handed back to the PAC which met at Parliament today.

Pua said the meeting, expected to end at 5pm, went smoothly and would continue on Monday.

"However since it is classified under the OSA, we will not be able to take it back with us," he said.

Pua confirmed that the report only covered investigations relating to 1MDB.
