SEREMBAN: Three motorcyclists suffered severe injuries while helping the victims involved in a road accident at Km258.4 North South Expressway south bound on Sunday morning.
It was learnt that the two men and a woman were among the group of motorcyclists who had parked at the roadside to help the victims of a car accident involving a Proton Saga and Nissan Grand Livina in the 5am incident.
The three victims were standing on the outermost lane to help divert incoming traffic before they were struck by a Singapore-registered Toyota Mark.
The operation chief from Seremban 2 fire station Badrotammam Abd Rahim said one engine with seven firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 5.13am.
“All passengers in the Proton Saga, including two children, were not hurt while the two man and two women travelling on Nissan Grand Livina sustained minor injuries.
“The driver of the Toyota Mark and two children in the car suffered minor injuries,” he said.
He added all three motorcyclists were sent to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here for treatment.
