KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Lee Chong Wei ended his one-year wait for an international title in super style.
On Sunday, Chong Wei crushed Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark 22-20, 21-12 in 39-minutes in the final to land the US Open Grand Prix Gold in New York.
It was his first individual tournament since coming out from an-eight month ban over a doping violation at the World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark last year August.
Chong Wei, currently ranked 180th in the world, last won a title at the Japan Open in June last year.
