KUALA LUMPUR, May 21, 2015:
The fuel tank went dry and a Ferrari 458 Italia stalled along busy Sultan Iskandar Expressway (formerly Mahameru Expressway), not far from Parliament House.
And this turned out to be an expensive affair for its owner.
A passing traffic cop pulled up to render assistance, and also dutifully issued summonses for multiple violations.
The offences were for displaying registration plates not to Road Transport Department specifications, causing unnecessary obstruction and even possibly tinted windscreens.
This matter was highlighted by Trafik KL via a posting on their Facebook page.
Police said the incident took place about 5pm at the height of heavy after-office traffic along the stretch-bound for Muzium Negara yesterday.
The stalled car, which is said to cost RM2 million here, brought traffic to a snail’s pace as traffic backed up for several kilometres.
A passing traffic policeman pulled up and was told by the driver the V8 4.5 litre engine had run out of fuel.
Taken aback, the cop’s closer inspection of the luxury car revealed several traffic violations. The individual was dutifully issued the summonses.
