Construction Worker Charged With Abduction, Rape, Unnatural Sex Act

A police officer escorts the construction worker Sia Tiong Yap, 29, (right) at the Muar Magistrates Court. /NSTMUAR: A construction worker was charged at the Magistrates Court here with four charges, including abducting and raping a 10-year-old girl last week.
For the first charge, Sia Tiong Yap, 29, from Bukit Bakri here, was accused of abducting the girl in a car at Lorong Jaafar, Jalan Mahmud in Bukit Pasir here at 2 pm on January 28.
He was charged under Section 367 of the Penal Code.
For the second and third charges, Sia is accused of committing sexual intercourse against the order of nature without the victim's consent at an oil palm plantation at Batu 8 1/2 Bakri at 2.30 pm and 2.50 pm on the same day.
For these offences, he was charged under Section 377(c) of the Penal Code.
Sia is also accused of raping the victim at the same location at about 3 pm.
For this he was charged under Section 376(2)(e) of the Penal Code.
