Good Samaritan who came to aid an accident victim's pinned under a car finds out it's his Son

GEORGE TOWN: Feeling pity for the man pinned under a car wreckage at Lebuh Bukit Jambul here, Low Boon Chai decided to stop his motorcycle to help.
To his horror, the dead accident victim was his son Desmond Low Fong Chin, 21.

Fong Chin, a vegetable seller, was on his way to the market in Taman Lip Sin when it was believed the car he was driving and a bus collided.
He was killed on the spot in the hit-and-run accident at about 6am yesterday.
Low said he found a number plate at the accident scene, believed to belong to the bus and had passed it to the police.
He also claimed that a bag containing Fong Chin’s smartphone and about RM3,000 were missing.
Fong Chin’s friend, Wong Wei Sin, 22, said they were supposed to go for a holiday with some other friends later in the night.
“We will help his (Fong Chin’s) parents prepare for his funeral,” he said.
A police spokesman when contacted, said the authorities are trying to track down the bus driver by viewing the CCTV recording of the accident.
The police are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the accident to help in investigations.
The accident is being probed under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
