Electronics giant Samsung has unveiled its much-anticipated Galaxy S5 smartphone at an event in conjunction with the Mobile World Congress 2014 expo in Barcelona.
The Galaxy S5 runs on the latest Google Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and comes with a 5.1in Full HD Super AMOLED screen and a fast 2.5GHz quad-core processor.
Unlike its predecessors, the S5 is built to be splashproof and dustproof, and even has a heart monitor on the back.
The company also unveiled three new Gear smartwatches, namely the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit.
While the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are evolutions of the Galaxy Gear launched last year, the Gear Fit features a narrower, curved AMOLED touchscreen display and comes built in with a heart rate sensor as well.
The Galaxy S5 is expected to be released worldwide in April.
