Their Blue Nissan Skyline Went Out Of Control And Slammed Into A Concrete Pillar At About 12.42am
- The victims, believed to be from the same family, were travelling from the SMART Highway towards Jalan Perkasa around 12.40am when a witness said their blue Nissan Skyline went out of control and slammed into the concrete pillar.
Upon Impact, The Car Exploded Into Flames And Skidded A Few Metres
The Victims Are Believed To Be A Family. One Of Them Is Believed To Be A Teenager.
13 Fire And Rescue Department Officers Took An Hour To Extract The Victims' Bodies That Was "Burnt Beyond Recognition"
- City Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Azizan Ismail said they received a distress call at 12.42am and the first team arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.
- Thirteen Fire and Rescue department officers took about an hour to extract the charred bodies from the twisted hulk.
- "When we got to the scene, it was a complete mess. The car was still on fire with car and body parts scattered," said operations commander Hamid Daud, who could not disclose further details at press time.
Witness Says The Victims Were Not Moving Inside The Car And There Was No Scream For Help
- Military officer Kamarul Haniff Hamid, 21 said he witnessed the horrific crash while driving along Jalan Tun Razak towards the roundabout. "I was in the car with my sister and girlfriend after supper when I saw this blur of a car that was speeding really fast.
- "Then I heard brakes screeching and then a loud boom and saw the explosion when it hit the pillar. The car's door was torn off and it moved a bit more before stopping. "I ran over there and tried to pull out the people inside but the flames were so big, I couldn't get near it. I could only watch," said Kamarul Haniff.
- The army personnel claimed that when he was nearby the burnt vehicle, he did not hear any screams neither saw any signs of struggles from the victims inside. All he could see was the driver’s seat has already moved to the car’s steering. He believed the victims were already unconscious at the time.
Rescue Personnels Found A Filipino Legal Documentation In The Car, Yet Investigations Are Still Ongoing To Determine The Victims' Identity
- The bodies were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.
- He added the personnel found a bag inside the burnt car, which contained a Filipino legal documentation. However, investigation was still ongoing to find out the identity of the deceased.
- It was learnt that the blue Skyline was registered under a foreigner’s name.
