KUALA LUMPUR: World No.1 Lee Chong Wei duly won his fourth Super Series Finals title after blowing away Indonesia’s Tommy Sugiarto in the final at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium on Sunday.
With the likes of China’s Chen Long and Du Pengyu not in the fray, the title was for Chong Wei to lose.
And the 31-year-old, champion from 2008-2010, duly delivered as he notched a 21-10, 21-12 win.
It marked a successful year for Chong Wei, who has already won six Super Series titles, with the only blots on his record being his World Championship final defeat to Lin Dan back in August, and two losses to Chen Long at the All-England and Denmark Open.
