Bull goes on rampage in middle of Ipoh
IPOH: A bull went on a rampage in the middle of the city here after escaping from its shed some 5km away.
The raging animal appeared from nowhere at about 4pm, eye-witnesses said.
It first attacked a group of elderly Singaporeans who were having drinks at a stall in Jalan Raja Musa Aziz, leaving four of them injured.
Housewife H.P. Tan said her 74-year-old husband fell and sustained lacerations on his ear, fingers and forearms from the bull's attack.
Their friend, Iris Teng, said the bull stepped on her sister’s chest when she fell to the ground.
“We had organised a trip to Ipoh as it had been many years since our last visit. We were also to go to Cameron Highlands on Monday.
“This was supposed to be a good trip but it has turned out to be a horrible experience,” she said.
After attacking the tourists, the bull ran to nearby Jalan Yau Tet Shin, where restaurants sell Ipoh’s popular beansprout chicken and biscuits. The sight of the animal send people running all over the place for cover.
The bull then proceeded to Jalan Sultan Iskandar and by this time policemen and Civil Defence Department officers were already in pursuit.
The animal was finally trapped and subdued when it entered the Elim Gospel Hall compound on Jalan Chung Thye Phin a short distance away.Housewife H.P. Tan said her 74-year-old husband fell and sustained lacerations on his ear, fingers and forearms from the bull's attack.
