Boy shot in the head by cop cleaning his gun
IPOH: A 10-year-old boy sustained a gunshot to his head when a police officer who lives next door misfired his pistol when cleaning the firearm.
Mohd Amar Mohd Azizi was shot at his house in Kampung Belanja Kiri, Parit at about 4.30am on Monday (Oct 14).
He was rushed to the Parit health clinic and was transferred to the Batu Gajah hospital for an X-Ray examination.
Perak Tengah Deputy OCPD Deputy Superintendent Leong Ah Kow said results from the X-Ray showed that the bullet was found near his throat.
“He was brought to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun paediatric intensive care unit for further treatment,” he said.- STAR
KOTA KINABALU: A two week old baby was brutally killed while three others were seriously injured after they were beaten up by their father with a metal pipe in Beluran.
The children’s mother is also battling for her life after she was stabbed with a pair of scissors in the attack at an oil palm plantation last night.
District Police chief Deputy Superintendent V Sivananthan said the 34-year-old man was arrested at about 3.30am this morning and recovered a parang.
The victims were all sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital and are now battling for their lives at its Intensive Care Unit, he said. -NST
