Khairy. Shahrizat and Mas Ermieyati In the Lead for UMNO Youth, Wanita and Puteri Chief Race

Umno polls latest: Incumbents Khairy, Shahrizat, Mas Ermieyati leading

PETALING JAYA: Incumbents Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahrizat Abdul Jalil have taken an early lead in the Youth and Wanita race as the votes from the 191 divisions trickled in. In the fight for Puteri head, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin is leading.

The unofficial count as of 5.30pm indicated Khairy secured early votes from Bukit Bendera, Batu Gajah, Bera and Hulu Langat divisions.

Wanita chief incumbent Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil took the lead with votes from Labuan, Sungai Petani and Batu Gajah. Her closest contender, Datuk Maznah Mazlan, managed to secure one vote from the Cheras Wanita division. Another contender, Raihan Sulaiman, has yet to get any vote.

On the Puteri front, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin is leading with votes from seven divisions while fellow Puteri chief contender Jamilah Hanim Othman is trailing behind with two votes.

Mas Ermieyati obtained votes from Temerloh, Padang rengas, Tapah, Pokok Sena, Cameron Highlands, Johor Bahru and Puching divisions. While Jamilah secured votes from Kulai and Subang divisions.

Umno executive secretary Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh said Umno would be giving updates from time-to-time.
