COVID-19 'War hero', Noor Hisham to retire after 35 years of service!

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah service as the Director General of Health will end when he will retire on 21 April. He has been in the service for over 35 years.
A check on Facebook found that several individuals and parties including the Food Safety and Quality Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia had posted about his retirement over the past few days.
For the record, the 60-year-old father of six has held the position of Director General of Health since 2013 and over three decades of excellent service has seen him face challenging times when the country was dealing with COVID-19.
In fact, he is also considered the 'hero' of the people under his leadership the health ministry did a great job in fighting the spread of the virus.
He was considered a 'face that gives confidence' by the people because of his efforts to provide the latest information about COVID-19 on social media, based on facts and statistics.
The media previously also reported that Dr Noor Hisham, was named as one of the best doctors in the world by China Global TV Network (CGTN), based on his authority in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis.
"He also left the following message 'in our work we should be sincere, do our best and then rely on God'," the message said.
Citing reports from a portal and local media, Dr Noor Hisham said, he is looking forward to spending more time with his family after he retires on April 21, which is the day he turns 60, which is the mandatory retirement age for public service members.
"Retirement is the next phase of life. It's a life journey. I'll cross one bridge at a time," he said.
Asked if he would enjoy his retirement as he is known as a hard worker, Dr Noor Hisham replied: "Let me retire first and I will share my experience with you later."
