Ebit Lew case investigation paper in final stages
KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation paper against renowned preacher Ebit Lew related to a sexual harassment cases is now in its final stages.
Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said the investigation papers had previously been sent to the Attorney General's Office.
"However, the investigation papers was re-sent back to us . "We will soon complete the investigation papers to be submitted to the Attorney General's Office," he said at a press conference at the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters on Thursday.
Earlier, an investigation into the famous preacher, Ebit Lew, 37, took place after police received reports from several individuals accuse the preacher of sexual harassment.
Following the report, the police opened an investigation paper in accordance with Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 and Section 23 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
On August 19, Ebit Lew was called to record evidence regarding the dissemination of a sexual harassment video linked to the preacher.
