There were some anxious Moments For Workers on Building Gondola Amidst Strong Winds
KUALA LUMPUR: A group of maintenance workers who were in a gondola crane at the Menara TS Law building in Jalan Kemuning, here, faced an anxious moment, when the gondola swung wildly several times during the storm this afternoon.
Strong winds caused the gondola to get loose and swing around wildly and even hit the glass windows of the the tall building several times.
The footage of the incident became viral on social media, Members of thee public who witnessed the incident were heard screaming and calling for the Fire Department because they were worried about the safety of the workers involved.
A spokesman for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Kuala Lumpur, said they received the report of the incident and immediately sent a team to the scene.
"A total of four members from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the scene.
"Upon arrival at the location, the team was informed by the representative of the developer of the construction site that the victim who was found stuck in the gondola managed to save himself by getting off himself," he said in a statement today.
