PETALING JAYA: Petronas Dagangan Bhd will investigate claims made on social media that several vehicles stalled after being fuelled at one of their stations.

"Our initial assessment indicates that this is due to product mishandling that happened only at this particular station," said the company.

"Petronas Station Solaris Besraya is now temporarily closed as we continue our investigations," it added.

Petronas Dagangan also said that approximately 20 cars were affected after fuelling at Petronas Station Solaris Besraya.

In the incident which occurred at about 7am on Friday (Dec 28), several cars broke down by the side of the Sungai Besi Highway.

On social media, several people have claimed that the vehicles stalled after fuelling up at a nearby petrol kiosk with some claiming that the fuel used was mixed with water or diesel.
