PBBM was always destined to be the NEW UMNO or The Replacement for UMNO especially Under Tun Mahathir. however minus the corrupt leaders and corrupt practises. So i don't know what the fuss is all about. The Members of UMNO who didnt "makan dedak" or get involved in corrupt practices will surely jump to PBBM as the bumiputera or Malay party of choice. With all the expose after GE14 many have realised their folly in blind loyalty! If PBBM becomes corrupt and does not fulfil its destiny in Malaysia Baharu, they will be rejected by the people in GE15 and PKR will get even stronger. Tun Mahathir has shown why he is the greatest leader Malaysia has ever had, so trust in him to chart the future. His warnings to UMNO is well documented in print and video. He warned UMNO if they did not change it would be the end of UMNO. In Malaysia Baharu PBBM will be the party of choice for moderate Malays and Bumiputeras. However those who were corrupt in UMNO should not be accepted into the party - namely the division leaders, MPs and Ministers.

We’re not replacing Umno but we can be a lot better, says PPBM

PPBM delegates at the party’s general assembly late last year. (File pic)KUALA LUMPUR: PPBM said it was capable of playing a more dominant role to represent the Malay and Bumiputeras.
The party’s information chief Radzi Jidin also said PPBM would be the preferred choice in championing the special rights of the Malays and Bumiputeras as enshrined in the Federal Constitution, compared with Umno or PAS.
“The Malays will look at us as a party that can continue to help them… the Malays see PPBM as an alternative for them. The current political dynamic shows many Malays are now ready to be with PPBM,” he said in an interview.
He said PPBM was the focus because the party was with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in fighting corruption and emphasising good governance.
“PPBM will be a lot better than Umno. It’s not to replace Umno, we’re going to be a lot better than what they have done,” he added.
The second PPBM general assembly this weekend, to be attended by 1,550 delegates from 98 party divisions nationwide, is the first for the party after PH took over the government.
It will be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre and officiated by chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Dec 29.
Radzi said “party hopping” would be among topics to be debated by delegates.
