PETALING JAYA: Expectation is high that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will announce the dissolution of Parliament at about 11.30am Friday.

Najib is expected to make the announcement at the Prime Minister's office in Putrajaya and this will be broadcast live on TV1.

The announcement will pave the way for the much-awaited 14th General Election that has to be called within 60 days of Parliament's dissolution.

It is learnt that Najib had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong earlier Friday morning.

Najib is waiting for the Cabinet meeting to end, and will begin his address soon after.
