Former Kedah MB Sanusi Junid dies aged 74

PETALING JAYA: Former Agriculture Minister and Kedah Mentri Besar Tan Sri Sanusi Junid has passed away at the age of 74.
His body will be taken to Masjid Saidina Umar Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.
Sanusi joined Umno in 1963 and was elected as the Jerai MP in 1974 at the age of 31, before becoming the Deputy Home Minister from 1980 to 1981.
He was the National and Rural Development Minister in 1981 before winning the Jerlun seat in the 1982 general election.
He won the Kuah state assembly seat in the 2000 general election before leaving Umno in 2008 and joining Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia in 2016.
