A make-up artist who took diet pills and only ate rice once a week to compete in a beauty pageant in Thailand has been found dead, reported Kosmo!.
Rudy Alpian Zahari, 37, better known as Aechik, was found dead in his bedroom in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, on Wednesday morning.
Aechik, a bachelor who worked as a shop assistant and make-up artist at a bridal boutique, had been keen to enter a beauty pageant in Thailand next month.
As preparation, he went on a strict diet regime a few months ago, which saw him finishing seven bottles of diet pills and eating rice just once a week.
Kuala Krai police chief Supt Abdullah Ronning said Aechik had often complained to his employer of chest pains and fatigue since taking the pills.
He said the victim’s bedroom was found to be in a neat state and his personal belongings were also untouched.
“But there was blood on his pillow,” he said, adding that the hospital found signs of bleeding on Aechik’s neck.
