Cops on the hunt for man who escaped from custody in Seremban
SEREMBAN: Police are searching for 29-year-old P. Devaraajan (pic) who escaped from custody at the court complex in Seremban 2.
It is learnt that the policemen who were supposed to escort Devaraajan back to the Sikamat police lockup after his case was mentioned discovered the suspect missing when they went to look for him at the court lockup.
Devaraajan, from Taman Rasah Jaya near here, was in court for a theft-related case.
Seremban OCPD ACP Theiw Hock Poh confirmed the incident which happened at around noon on Friday.The case is being investigated under Section 223 of the Penal Code for negligence of a public servant in allowing a person under his custody to escape.
