Cops: Couple who harassed MBSA officer arrested
PETALING JAYA: The couple who allegedly harassed a female Shah Alam Municipal Council (MBSA) officer for issuing a parking ticket has been arrested.
This was confirmed by Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Dr Abdul Aziz Awang Darus Friday morning.
"They have been arrested and referred to the deputy public prosecutor for the next course of action," he said.
It is learnt that the couple will be charged at the Shah Alam court under Section 187 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his duties.

PETALING JAYA: A two-minute video showing a female Shah Alam Municipal Council (MBSA) officer allegedly being harassed by a couple has been making its rounds on social media.
The video showed the couple cornering the officer, with the woman hanging on tightly to the officer's shirt for the bulk of the video.
A short scuffle ensued as the officer tried to walk away from the couple, but was prevented by the man who had boxed her into a space between two cars while trying to take her photo.
The victim was also heard calling for help to her partner, who tried to diffuse the situation.
Towards the end of the video, a man in a red helmet is seen, apparently coming to the aid of the two MBSA officers.
The footage ends after the officer managed to get past the couple who were blocking her way.
It is believed that the incident started after the officer had issued a parking ticket to the couple at Bukit Rahman Putra in Sungai Buloh, which they objected to.
