PC download charts: ‘Planet Coaster’, ‘Dishonored 2’
Tehmina Kaoosji plays the lead character in 'Sara is Missing'. — AFP picNEW YORK, Nov 23 — Theme park creation sim Planet Coaster soars out of its early access phase with a retail release that sends it to the top of Steam’s PC charts come November 22, 2016, while stealth and action game Dishonored 2 features high in the Steam and Gamersgate ranking, and the free PC, Mac and Android release Sara is Missing climbs to first place on Itch.io.
“Planet Coaster” is from the same studio that made two games in the Roller Coaster Tycoon franchise, and has been extremely well received throughout its in-development period aboard Steam’s Early Access programme.
Players can set about constructing their own fantastical theme parks, assembling various parts from prefabricated pieces and even uploading new creations for others to marvel at via the Steam Workshop.
Improving on its award-winning 2012 predecessor is Dishonored 2, a sequel that introduces a second and equally skilled character, Emily, as well as larger levels littered with guards and grime within an exquisitely constructed quasi-historical world.
Players can tackle each area peacefully or viciously, making the game easier or more challenging for themselves in various ways and changing its ending accordingly as they seek to put Emily back on the throne of Dunwall.
Name-your-own-price horror game Sara is Missing is all about a lost mobile phone and features Malaysian TV host Tehmina Kaoosji.
The player finds the phone and tries to discover who its owner is and why they’ve disappeared, but doing so necessitates poking around in the phone’s messaging and media archives.
