Former National Rugby League (NRL) player broke his arm on live television after engaging in arm wrestling with fellow former NRL star Wendell Sailor.
Both Ross and Sailor were appearing on Aussie TV programme, NRL Footy Show on Channel Nine when the incident occurred.

The duo were competing in the show’s Iron Arm Challenge to raise money for the Men of League charity.

Sailor won the short bout, but at the end viewers can clearly see Ross’ right arm snap back accompanied by a loud popping sound.

The incident put the studio audience in attendance into shock and the network quickly cut to an advertisement.

The 35-year-old Ross was rushed to the Royal North Shore hospital where X-rays confirmed he broke the humerus in his right arm.

Sailor said he feels deeply dejected by the incident and says he will never arm wrestle again.

“I’ll make sure I go and see him (Ross). I’m trying to get a hold of his wife too because I can only imagine her sitting at home cheering for him and this happens,” he says
