Man shot dead while riding motorcycle

SUNGAI PETANI: A man died on the spot after being gunned down at Taman Songket here on Friday.

It was learnt that during the incident at about 10.30pm, M. Gurubaran, in his 20s was riding his motorcycle in Taman Songket housing area, before he was shot a few times and fell off from his motorcycle.
Sources said at least two assailants were involved in the incident who were tailing after him.
The victim succumbed to injuries after three shots hit his shoulder.
Kedah CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Nashir Ya said initial investigation showed that two men on a bike released the shots before they escaped the scene.
He said no arrest has been made so far.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
