A police team from the Pahang state police headquarters had stumbled upon a white Proton Wira in a suspicious manner
The police team tried to stop the car for inspection, but it suddenly engaged the reverse gear at high speed.
Several shots were then heard coming from inside the car.
The police team fired back, and upon checks, found three men, all in their 20s, dead inside the car.
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar is expected to hold a press conference on the case about 11.30am.
