Najadi killing mastermind hiding Down Under, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: A 53-year-old businessman linked to the killing of Arab-Malaysian Development Bank founder Hussain Ahmad Najadi is believed to have fled the country shortly after the murder.

City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the businessman is being sought to shed new light into the investigations.
“Based on our investigations, the man left for Australia three days after the murder,” he told reporters at the city police headquarters.
It is learnt that the suspect only knew the victim through business dealings.
“We are giving the man a week to come back and help us in our investigations.
“We are in the process of issuing a warrant of arrest for him and will liaise with Interpol to bring him back if he fails to turn himself in,” he said, adding that the man has been notified that he is wanted to assist in investigations.
SAC Ku said they would decide on the next course of action after one week.
