PETALING JAYA: A tattoo artist believed to have sodomised a male customer at his premises was arrested in Sungai Way, here on Wednesday.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Ja'afar said the arrest of the 37-year-old suspect was made at about 12.05 midnight.
"The review found that the suspect has two records of criminal convictions.
"The suspect is believed to have smeared oil on the victim who came to get a tattoo, causing the victim to lose consciousness before sodomising him," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday.
He said the suspect was now remanded for four days until Sunday for investigation under Section 377B of the Penal Code.
He added that the investigation is still underway to identify the oil used by the suspect.
In the incident at about 9.30pm, Tuesday, the 24-year-old victim came to the shop in question to draw a flower tattoo on his body.
The suspect had applied oil causing the victim to be unaware of what happened when he was about to start drawing a flower tattoo on his client's right hand
After the victim woke up, the victim found himself unclothed and feeling pain in the anus.
