The International Football Federation (FIFA) was clearly 'enthralled' by Safawi Rasid's goal when Malaysia faced the Solomon Islands in a recent friendly.
Through a tweet on the social media site Twitter, FIFA uploaded the goal produced by Safawi at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Gong Badak, Terengganu on June 14.
"Wonderful skill from Malaysian player Safawi Rasid," said the world football governing body.
The amazing goal was achieved in the 77th minute when Safawi, who received Lee Tuck's pass, managed to use his skills to volley the ball into the net with three touches.
Safawi, who was included as a substitute player, first buffered the ball with his right foot before tossing the ball with his left foot to overcome the opponent's defense.
The Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) star then fired a solid shot using his left foot when the ball had not yet hit the ground.
Previously, the famous international football website, B/R Football was also 'fascinated' by Safawi's goal and commented on the goal.
Through its Twitter account, B/R Football shared the video clip with the caption 'added Malaysian player, Safawi Rasid to the Puskas list.'
The Malaysian football arena once 'went crazy' when Faiz Subri won the Puskas award - the most beautiful goal at the 2016 FIFA Awards Night in Zurich, Switzerland.
