JAKARTA, Aug 15 -- Indonesia reported 2,345 new COVID-19 cases and 50 deaths from the disease over the past 24 hours up to noon Saturday, raising the total number of positive cases to 137,468 and the death toll to 6,071.
The country's official website on COVID-19 - www.covid19.go.id also informed that 76,327 people were under monitoring.
The province of Jakarta recorded the highest number of positive cases at 28,882 followed by East Java, at 27,415, and the rest of the cases in 32 other provinces.
East Java recorded the highest number of deaths at 1,988, followed by Jakarta (980), Central Java (780), South Sulawesi (343) and the rest in other provinces.
